Meta H. Anderson, a Family Nurse Practitioner AANP Board Certified. I obtained my Master’s Degree from Walden University. With eight years of experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner, in 2025 she obtained a Doctoral Degree in Nursing from Delta State University. I reside in Bolivar County. I am married and have three daughters. In my free time I enjoy traveling, shopping, and spending quality moments with family and friends. I am currently working for Plan A Health.

Meta Anderson, MSN, APRN, CFNP

Born and raised in the Mississippi Delta, Stephanie Bolden is a committed healthcare professional with over eight years of experience in the medical field. She is a proud graduate of Gentry High School and Mississippi Delta Community College. Stephanie holds multiple certifications, including Medical Administrative Assistant, Phlebotomy, Certified Nursing Assistant, and Community Health Worker.

With five years of experience in public health, Stephanie has focused her career on advancing health equity, promoting wellness, and strengthening community outreach. Her dedication to helping others is reflected in her compassion, strong work ethic, and drive to make a lasting difference in the lives of those she serves.

Outside of work, Stephanie enjoys spending quality time with her children, exploring the outdoors, listening to a variety of music, and expressing her creativity through home and fashion design.

Stephanie Bolden

Desiree Norwood, resides in Sunflower, MS. She Currently serves as the Project Coordinator for Plan A Health. Desiree is a graduate of Ruleville Central High School, 2008 graduate of Mississippi Valley State University, where she received her B.S.in Business Administration and 2009 graduate Delta State University where she received her MBA.
Norwood brings a wealth of experience from her previous work at the Mississippi DEpartment of Health, the board of Mississippi Delta Community College, and the Sunflower COunty Board of Supervisors. “Service over Self” in her free time, she loves to volunteer with school and community activities throughout the Delta area. She also enjoys serving as a liaison, where she connects individuals in the community to resources available. Desiree is the proud parent of Jaylon, 17 and Kaitlyn,14. Desiree motto is: “Every day I wake up, is a day to make a difference; A Day to make a positive impact; a day to help someone reach their full potential.

Temesa Crawford, LPN

Johnetta Nicole Ross is a graduate of Mississippi Valley State University, where she earned her Bachelor of Social Work degree in 2012 after graduating in the top 10 of her class from Ruleville Central High School. She has built a diverse professional background serving as a Correctional Officer, Alcohol and Drug Counselor, Community Support Specialist, Primary Service Coordinator, and Child Protection Specialist, all reflecting her passion for helping others and serving her community. Outside of her career, Johnetta enjoys spending time with family, traveling, shopping, fishing, and enjoying the outdoors while continuing to pursue her goal of obtaining her social work licensure.

Brianna Veasley joined the Plan A team as a Care Coordinator in March 2025. Brianna is a mother of three, who brings warmth, valuable insights, integrity, and a collaborative spirit to her work at Healthy Families, Healthy Futures. She excels at transforming challenges into solutions through teamwork with colleagues and community partners. Brianna is deeply committed to promoting healthy pregnancies and supporting families in rural areas affected by maternal health disparities. Her focus is on ensuring equitable access to essential baby supplies, prenatal care, and addressing social determinants of health. She believes that every mother deserves a brighter future for her child or children.

Maria L. Cotton Herring is from the rural community of Doddsville, MS in Sunflower County. She is the second oldest of six siblings and Mother of one son Jordan Herring who attends Hinds Community College in Raymond, MS. I was born and raised in Moorhead, Ms. I am 1992 Graduate of S.V.Marshall High school in Tchula, Ms. I also Attend MVSU with plans of graduating in the Spring of 2027.
Yalander is the proud mother of Somer 32, John 29, Zion 19, Walter 15.
She brings experience as a former Community Outreach Coordinator and advocate for those in need. Her motto is “Building bridges where they’re needed most”.

Yalander Everett

Tierra is a dedicated community advocate and leader residing in Sunflower County, Mississippi. She holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Delta State University. With a strong passion for service, Tierra has committed her work to uplifting underserved communities, particularly focusing on supporting mothers, empowering youth, and increasing access to vital resources in rural areas.
Driven by both professional expertise and personal purpose, Tierra actively works to create meaningful change through community programs, outreach initiatives, and partnerships that address real needs within the Mississippi Delta. She is also a proud mother to her beautiful daughter, Tatum, who continues to inspire her dedication to building stronger, healthier communities for future generations.

Jaselyn Riden

Jaselyn brings a passion for community engagement and a foundation in public health, with experience in programs that promote health equity and access to care.
Her background includes over 20 years working with diverse populations in different community settings. She has coordinated outreach events and collaborated with many local partners to connect individuals and families with essential health resources. She is particularly driven by work that addresses health disparities and empowers underserved communities through education and advocacy.
Jaselyn joined Plan A Health because of a commitment to improving community health through proactive outreach.and responsive care. She is excited to contribute my experience, energy, and compassion to furthering that mission.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family, going to the beach, traveling, reading and cooking.
She is grateful for the opportunity to be a part of Plan A and looks forward to building strong relationships with colleagues and the communities we serve.

Maximillian McKinney is native of Jackson, MS he previously served as the Corporate Compliance Officer and Interim-Chief Financial Officer at a Federally Qualified Health Center in Mississippi. A graduate of Alcorn State University (Business Administration) and Jackson State University (Master of Business Administration and Master of Professional Accountancy). Max has previous experience in consumer banking, having previously had roles a retail banker and branch manager. Max is passionate about helping those in need gain access to high quality healthcare, especially in the State of MIssissippi

Caroline Weinberg is the founder and Executive Director of Plan A. Her work in reproductive health began as a Peer Health Educator at the University of Virginia and since that time she has continued to work to improve access to reproductive health care and education with a particular focus on adolescents and care in low-resource settings.
Her prior work has included reproductive health program development and evaluation both in the United States and internationally in Uganda and Guatemala. She is an advocate for access to health care as a fundamental human right and passionate about creating programs that ensure access for people in all communities.

Caroline Weinberg

Dhruvi is a public health researcher, capacity builder, and reproductive justice advocate, who aims to work towards improving the lives of communities who are criminalized and marginalized in the U.S. and around the world. She has extensive program evaluation experience, and experience in providing technical assistance.She has also worked directly with communities, especially adolescents and parents, providing in-home education, and have provided programmatic support to nonprofits, creating marketing materials and organizing community events.

Gretchen Borchelt is Vice President for Reproductive Rights and Health at the National Women’s Law Center. She oversees NWLC’s advocacy, policy, litigation, and education strategies to promote reproductive rights and access to comprehensive, affordable health care. Previously, she served as Senior Counsel and Director of State Reproductive Health Policy.
Before joining NWLC, she worked at Physicians for Human Rights and was a Women’s Law and Public Policy Fellow at the National Partnership for Women and Families. She serves on the Steering Committee of the Women’s Preventive Services Initiative; the Advisory Board of If/When/How: Lawyering for Reproductive Justice; the Advisory Committee of COMS Project; the Reproductive Health and Access Advisory Group of Urban Institute; and the Advocates Advisory Board of State Innovation Exchange’s Reproductive Freedom Leadership Council.

Carrie Denning Jackson creates built environments that are designed for people and grounded in place. In 2016, Carrie joined Google's urban innovation company, Sidewalk Labs, where she leads innovation on ground floor spaces, re-imagining the physical/digital experience of retail as well as the community and cultural spaces and small businesses that make cities great.
Carrie was Sidewalk’s Chief of Staff for two years, growing the company from 14 to 100+ urban-technologists and launching their workshop/lab in Toronto, 307, where she ran all public programming. Prior to Sidewalk Labs, she led on-the-ground placemaking for Shared_Studios, an art organization that creates curated experiences between strangers in "portals" (golden shipping containers) in cities across the world. Jackson launched the San Francisco Portal and programmed live experiences between cities, in addition to installations at the UN and Art Basel Miami. Carrie has an MBA, MA, and BA from Stanford University.

Dr. Pamela Payne Foster, MD, is a Preventive Medicine/Public Health Physician who is Professor in the Department of Community Medicine/Population Health and Deputy Director, Institute for Rural Health Research, at The University of Alabama School of Medicine.
Her career has focused on a wide variety of interests including racial/ethnic health disparities, bioethics with an interest on the intersection between social justice and health, and community based participatory or engaged research.
Most recently through her work in Alabama, she has more specifically focused on HIV/AIDS related stigma in rural faith based settings in the Deep South.

Melanie is the Senior Manager of Fragrance and Emerging Categories at Glossier, a lifestyle beauty brand. In her role she is responsible for driving profitability, go to market and retention strategies. Before Glossier, Melanie worked at L'Oreal USA, where she led merchandising, retail, launch and growth strategies. Ahead of her pivot into marketing, Melanie was a management consultant at PwC, specializing in solutions to build efficiency within the corporate finance functions.
Melanie obtained her MBA from the University of Michigan and her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Hampton University. Although a Chicago native, Melanie's family is from Mound Bayou, Mississippi. Her lifelong connection to the Delta fuels her passion to support the mission of Plan A. As a board member, she's committed to leveraging her personal and professional experience to drive relevant marketing strategies that build greater awareness, patronage and trust of Plan A.

Jackie Sanders-Hawkins is the CEO and Founder of Delta Community Solutions, LLC. She recently retired from the Mississippi State Department of Health with 32 years of state services and over two decades of advocating for a better community utilizing public health strategies and interventions.
Ms. Hawkins was the Community Bureau Director of Mississippi Delta Health Collaborative. Her work included developing and implementing policy systems and environmental changes in settings such as faith-based organizations, barbershops, beauty shops, health care systems, and county and local municipalities. Ms. Hawkins is a two time recipient of the Rural Health Champion Award. She’s married to Dewayne Hawkins and they have two children, Darrius and Kaithlyn.

Richard D. Segal is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Seavest Investment Group where he is also CEO of Rethink Capital Partners and Managing Partner of
Rethink Education.
He has served on the boards of many public and private companies which include Hudson General Inc., Air Express Int., and Penn Traffic, Schoolnet, Civitas, Wireless Generation, Smarterer and Flocabulary. Currently, Mr. Segal sits on the boards of various education technology companies. Mr. Segal is deeply committed to creating better communities through his philanthropic engagements, which are primarily focused on health, education, and providing opportunities for low income children and the arts.
He is a Trustee of the Whitney Museum of Art in New York City, where he serves as Treasurer and chair of the Finance Committee. He also sits on the Board of New York Academy of Art, serving as Treasurer. Additionally, Mr. Segal serves on the Board of Trustees of New York Presbyterian Hospital and he is a board member and Finance Chair of the Africa Center in New York. Mr. Segal is the President of the A. L. Mailman Family Foundation.
He serves as treasurer of the Plan A board.

Ivana Thompson, MD MSCI FACOG is an Obstetrician and Gynecologist and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) at the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine (VUSM) in Nashville, Tennessee. She is a leader on the VUSM Department of OB/GYN Diversity Task Force and Research Committee. Dr. Thompson completed her Fellowship in Family Planning and a Master of Science in Clinical Investigation at the University of Utah School of Medicine in Salt Lake City, UT.
Dr. Thompson’s clinical and academic interests include emergency contraception, complex contraception, adolescent health care, racial and ethnic health disparities.

Mollie Williams is the Executive Director of The Family Van and a Lecturer in Global Health and Social Medicine at the Harvard Medical School. She is a passionate advocate for access to health and health care. She has experience in nonprofit and public health leadership, organizational development, strategic planning, and fundraising.
Prior to joining The Family Van, Mollie was a Senior Director at Planned Parenthood Federation of America. In this role, she led a national cross-department team and affiliate staff who worked to improve access to sexual and reproductive health care in the southern United States. Mollie holds an MPH from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor and a DrPH in Health Policy and Management from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
